I am NOT a Twimom!

So my 12 year old daughter confesses to me she has her first mutual crush. A boy asked her out. So what do I say?

Being the Twihard that I am – I immediately quote Twilight and say,” Tell me all about him. Is he a jock? Indie? Vampire? No dating dogs allowed.” LMAO

She just looks at me and shakes her head. I of course have saturated my kids and hubs with Twilight. She then tells me neither of her dads will be too happy. (DD is from my first marriage). So my head goes right to:

Yeah – neither of them is going to be as cool as Charlie, ya know. At this point I get a completely blank stare. OK, Bell..I mean Babe. Is he on Facebook? Let me see his picture. She just tells me he lookslike a dork in every picture. So I think: ADORKABLE

Now mind you, I’m starting to think about my first crush, which BTW was NOTHING like this:

And now I am lost in my own little Twiworld thinking about that first kiss – which was NOTHING like this:

But all the same I realized that I can make anything in my life (or DDs) relate to Twilight. Is something wrong with me? NAH you know we all wish we were Bella.  Now don’t go thinking I’m all for my 12 year old being in a relationship at her age. It’s all innocent and cute. She’s not allowed to date yet. But my mind just kept wandering back to how lucky she is to get to have that first kiss (SOMEDAY NOT NOW) and fall in love. And it made me remember why I love Twilight so much. It made me feel young and remember all those amazing moments. Yes. I would LOVE to be Bella and have that really cool HAWT VAMPIRE (ENGLISH) Boyfriend.

Thank you SM for giving me a taste of being young again. BTW I dreamt about making out with Rob that night! LUCKY ME! This post has absolutely no relevance to anything except my musings. I love everything about Twilight and its funny how some little thing can bring me right back to how much I love this series!

Anyway – thanks for letting me ramble. We all love Twilight. I wish I was Bella.  We all wish we could have her love life. On and off screen.
